About PREP Hockey Club

PREP is the combined hockey team representing three northwest suburban Illinois High School District 214 schools: Prospect, Rolling Meadows, and Elk Grove. PREP fields teams at the Varsity and Junior Varsity levels and plays in the North Central Division of the Illinois High School Hockey League.

History and Highlights—The origins of PREP Hockey and the proud heritage we represent

PREP Hockey elects to field three teams for the fall/winter season. One playing at the Varsity level and two JV teams (Black and Gold).

PREP Hockey is a key supporter in the development of the new Illinois High School Hockey League. IHSHL is the largest high school league in Illinois and includes both familiar rivals and some of the state's best teams.

PREP launches a revamped website to provide information, schedules and pictures.

Our JV team captures the JV Combined State title defeating a heavily-favored Rockford team.

Both JV and Varsity teams advance to the “Final 8” in state playoffs.

In a relatively short time, PREP Hockey developed to the point that its on-ice success matched its player and parent enthusiasm. The JV team finished 4th in the state playoffs.

PREP Hockey becomes the official organization name; fielding a Varsity and JV team.

PREP Hockey actually started its roots when the Palatine / Elk Grove team agreed to take on some players from Rolling Meadows.
